Safety, Education, and Skill Building
Ottawa Safety Council - The OSC, a Not-for-profit organization, based in Ottawa, Ontario, offers a full range of motorcycle training programs. These include a "Gearing Up" Introduction hands-on class that gives the new student the opportunity to try some of the basics of handling a motorcycle in a one evening course to see if riding is for them. If the answer is "yes", then you can continue on to the "Gearing Up" - M1 Exit program (one evening of instruction, with two full days "hands-on" riding). Then, when ready, move on to the M2 Exit course, and finally after some time in the saddle, the Experienced Rider course. The course curriculum follows the Canadian Safety Council's "Gearing Up" program, which is recognized as the standard course across Canada.
